Upon approaching the property, you will see a private decking area looking over the valley leading out from the lounge. The entrance to Syke Barn is situated at the rear of the property, opposite the secure bicycle-store and outdoor patio area perfect for reading in the afternoon sun or enjoying alfresco dining.
After entering the property you will be greeted by a spacious foyer with high ceilings and sky-lights allowing plenty of daylight to filter through. Directly ahead is the quaint and fully-functional kitchen and diner. The kitchen contains all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay including: all necessary utensils and crockery, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge (no freezer), oven/grill/microwave, 4-space hob, kettle, toaster and a comfortable corner table. There is a heated airer available in the barn for drying clothes.
To the left-hand side of Syke Barn is the lounge area and the second bedroom. Enclosed behind a traditional latched door, the cosy lounge area is equipped with two sofas, a SMART TV (there is free Wi-Fi in the Barn), and a wood-burning stove (one basket of logs, kindling and firelighters are provided) - making this the perfect place to relax.The simple yet airy second bedroom contains two single-beds and a spacious wardrobe, you can be sure of a peaceful night’s sleep amongst soft cotton sheets and thick, toasty throws for those chillier nights.
Over to the right-hand side of the barn you will find the bathroom and main bedroom containing an en-suite shower room. The bathroom is again light, clean and functional with gleaming tiled-walls and a bath with a stand-in shower. There’s nothing better than a long soak after an activity-filled day. The main bedroom, much like the second bedroom and kitchen, overlooks the valley. It’s truly a privilege to be able to wake up to pheasants and deer wandering through the fields directly outside your window. A comfortable king-size bed clad with cushions and throws and a large, rustic wardrobe with matching bedside tables mean comfort and storage certainly won’t be an issue for longer stays. The adjacent en-suite shower-room is the perfect place to get ready for the day ahead, with powerful hot water,and a lit-mirror over the sink.
Stairs opposite the main entrance lead up to a quiet, and light filled gallery. This area features lush carpet, skylights, multiple comfortable seating options and a large internet connected television. This upstairs space is perfect for those quieter moments, perhaps reading or writing, and for the louder one's laughing at a film or cheering about scoring the winning goal.
